Richard Wilmer is an experimental musician combining elements of electronics, guitars and synths to create unique ambient soundscapes. Richard Wilmer runs the experimental ambient net label aReW recordings and has also contributed 
to the following projects and collaborations: my pet zombie frankie, lienullnoyz , hadeanera , so far away assignment 
(sfaa) & strain carriage.

Richard Wilmer has featured regularly in the aReW recordings discography since the 1st release in November 2009. Richard Wilmer first appeared on RW-001 with a collaboration piece called 'i wish i could see you' with ethan vilu from the white noise organization - an artist Richard Wilmer has collaborated with regularly since 2009 through their  side projects 
hadeanera and more recently strain carriage.

Richard Wilmer's next appearance on aReW recordings would come in March 2010 in the form of a 4 track split EP called mountains  with the white noise organization.

Richard Wilmer would not appear on aReW recordings discography again until the various artists compilation called melodious miscellany released as a free mp3 download in August 2010. Richard submitted the track RW0808101131 - 
an atmospheric blend of guitars and electronics.

In October  2010 Richard Wilmer released the 4 track EP Sennen Sessions under the alias SFAA (so far away 
assigment). The 4 tracks were written and recorded in 
Sennen, Cornwall in September 2009. All 4 tracks are 
guitar only pieces and kept in their rawest live form despite
the tempation to over produce the sounds.

November 2010 saw the release of the 4 tracks collaboration 
EP called aReW recordings presents joining forces Part 1. 
The 4 artists Richard Wilmer collaborated with were black dreams, euhedral, joris j and paddo one. All 4 tracks were created by the 4 artists with Richard Wilmer adding guitar 
parts to the tracks.

December 2010 saw the release of Morpeth's I should die EP featuring 3 original tracks by Morpeth as well as a remix of the track SIMPLE by Richard Wilmer as well as remixes of funny depression and PEOPLE=SHIT part 1 by lienullnoyz.

Richard Wilmer would next appear on aReW recordings discography in January 2011 releasing a 30 minute 30 
second experimental ambient drone track called 30 which
is a combination of guitar and electronics.

March 2011 saw the release made available through aReW recordings by Richard WIlmer called the 101010EP. A 13 minute minimal electronic track. The EP also features
cloud 61 and lienullnoyz remixes of the track 101010. The original track was recorded on the 10th of October 2010 
hence the name 101010.

In February 2011 Richard Wilmer released a 5 track ambient electronic release out via the electronic musik label called
UT EP. An EP of textural analogue electronica featuring an interesting blend of electronics and field recordings. Track 3 from the UT EP is featured on the various artists sampler: Electronic Musik Sampler (Em135) - Also look out for Noise Research and Richard Knight on this excellent compilation available for FREE mp3 download.

In April 2011 the Richard Wilmer track UT6 was remixed by Cloud 61 for the RW-Techordings release 
UT6 remix / memories tick .

May 2011 saw the release of Studies For The Poisoned Mind 
by the vanhalia project. The EP featured 5 original tracks by 
the vanhalia project as well as remixes by SFAA and richard wilmer.

In May 2011 richard wilmer released the 38 minute 4 track EP called These Instances through misspelled records. 

May 2011 was also the month richard wilmer featured on MELD6 - the sixth in the series of MELD albums of remixes 
and collaborations with artists from around the world by
LEZET released on BREATHE COMPILATIONS (Mexico)!!! . The 7 artists on MELD6 are George Christian Vilela Pereira (Brasil), Awser Derf (Norway), Pangea (Spain), Djozr (USA), 
Owl Dreams (USA), Taklamcan (Croatia) and Richard Wilmer (UK).

In June 2011 the track 'these instances (outro edit)' by Richard Wilmer featured on the misspelled autumn sampler 2011 episode 1 released by misspelled records.

June 2011 also saw the release of the first DJ mix album to be released by aReW recordings called aReW recordings presents indistict passages and encounters (DJ Mix by Richard Wilmer) 
- a 45 minute continuous mix by Richard Wilmer containing elements of all 13 tracks from RW-001. 

July  2011 saw the release of texture 1 by sima - a 2 track EP featuring the 12 minute original version by sima and a 14 minute remix by richard wilmer.

July 2011 also saw the release of richard wilmer's 1st full release on RW-Techordings called midnight / instompnia.

August 2011 saw the release of aReW recordings 50th 
release simply called aReW recordings presents RW-050. 
richard wilmer's track called bertha (with guitar mix)  
features on the 25 track various artists as track 10.

August 2011 saw the release of the altered state of mind compilation 2011 on the experimental net label altered 
state reflections. richard wilmer's remix of I.N.G. by
BALOGH features on the 72 track album as track 1.

In August 2011 richard wilmer anounced that he was collaborating in a new 2 piece experimental band as guitarist with jared balogh. The project titled BALOGH/wilmer are planning a series of releases called S.T.W. with the first EP S.T.W. 1-4 scheduled for released via altered state reflections.

In August 2011 richard wilmer created a dj mix sampler called aReW recordings presents RW-002 to RW-010. A 38 minute continuous mix album featured tracks from lautebaum,
ben john robertson, fonik, ryan laccohee, torba, 10konekt, measures, noise research, the white noise organization,
genus inkasso as well a down tempo version of his own
track don't throw plastic dolls off cliffs.

Aug 2011 also saw the release of the split EP featuring 
tracks by Richard Wilmer and TRANS ATLANTIC RAGE. 
The self titled 5 track EP features 2 tracks by Richard Wilmer, 
2 tracks by TRANS ATLANTIC RAGE and a remix of track 1 
by Lienullnoyz.

August 2011 also saw the release of the EolisFreeProject by Sonore Fiction which is a remix project of the sonore
fiction track Eolis. The EP featrues 11 tracks by 11 artists 
including the track 'Le Vent Du Changement' by Richard
Wilmer.

September 2011 saw the release of Dress of Flesh Remixes
featuring 3 remixes by Richard Wilmer of the Stiff and Cold
tracks moon of thighs, dress of flesh and in pulp of darkness.
The original album Dress of Flesh by Stiff and Cold is also
available through the aReW recordings discography as
catalogue number RW-041.
